Laura Markus handcrafts and refines each piece until it has the perfect balance of light reflecting material and structural strength. She stays on top of color trends for the season and the most sought after designs. Each piece should compliment the recipient's style and preferences. Laura will work closely with you to make sure each piece you order meets your expectations.

Laura has made several trips to Murano, Italy where she delights in picking the most unique bead and pendants she can find. She also has a rich history of working with Swarovski crystal when designing jewelry for that special dress for a night out on the town. She has even designed jewelry for world champion ballroom dancers and her work can be see gracing the floor in ballrooms all across America.

 Laura started beading approx. 10-12 years ago and it has turned into an obsessive hobby/addiction.  She began with seed bead weaving Christmas ornaments as family gifts then expanded into jewelry.  Her range is from bead weaving, bead stringing, pearl knotting as well as wire working.  In 2006 she took our first trip to Murano, Italy and she fell in love with Italian Art Glass.  It is her desire to retire to the island of Murano because she loves it so much. 

Laura uses only quality findings in all of her designs.  They will consist of sterling silver, 14kt gold filled, pewter or vermeil.  All crystal used is Swarovski Crystal, genuine semi precious gemstones, freshwater and Akoya pearls.  Seed beads range from Murano glass seed beads to Delicas and Tohos.  Laura hand drills all pearls used in her pearl and leather jewelry.  Doing so allows her to use multiple diameters as well as colors for her designs.  All custom orders/request are welcome.
